Baghdad's Institute of Fine Arts
Continuing on a variety of successful projects partnering with Baghdad's Institute of Fine Arts, PRT-Baghdad worked with noted Iraqi sculptors to reestablish the long-defunct woodworking section of the Institute. The first student-teacher woodworking show at the Institute was opened on July 19, 2011 by Institute leaders and PRT-Baghdad Team Leader Robert Kuntz. The show demonstrated the immense talent of the students at the institute, and exemplified the positive impact the PRT's projects have had on the future of Iraqi artists. The show displayed works that played on the theme of "Ishtar," the Babylonian godess of fertility, love, and war.
